TRX Baseband for Ultrasite
The
Transceiver Baseband unit is a digital signal processing board,
consisting
of two independent baseband modules.
Therefore,
one Baseband unit can process two Transceiver units;
each with
eight received and transmitted logical channels.
The
Baseband unit communicates with the (BOIA) Base Operations and
Interfaces unit,
Transceiver units and Transmission units. In the uplink path, the
Transceiver unit sends a demodulated digital signal to the Baseband
unit. The Baseband unit samples the signal and sends the processed
signal to the Transmission unit. In the downlink path, the
Transmission
unit passes signal to the Baseband unit. The Baseband unit encodes
the signal. and then sends the signal to the Transceiver unit.
- TRX Baseband unit includes channel coding, telecom signalling, ciphering and synthesized frequency hopping.
- One Baseband unit can support two Transceiver units.
- The Baseband unit communicates with Base Operations and Interfaces, Transceiver and Transmission units.
- The BB2x unit consists of Interface, D-bus Interface, Control Block, Digital Signal Processor Block and F-bus Interface.
